I'm taking a break from the blog this week and traveling for Thanksgiving. Before I officially leave today, I wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a safe and turkey-filled holiday!

A few weeks ago my family got together for family pictures. I don't know how your family photos usually go, but ours are always a little chaotic! In the end we managed to catch a few pictures where almost everyone was smiling and looking at the camera. Almost. We did have some beautiful morning light though! Here are a few favorites.
And thanks to my sister Katie for taking a few shots of Josh and I together! She was my lovely assistant for the day!

This has been a great week! 1) It was my birthday yesterday and 2) I've finally joined the 21st century and got a smart phone! I know, that makes me sound lame and so 2006. But I'm loving my new iPhone! And I'm loving Instagram! I feel a new obsession coming on. So I wanted to recap my birthday in Instagram pictures. Because I can.
Josh surprised me with flowers! I have the best husband ever!
We're getting pumped for some birthday sushi! We LOVE sushi, so we pretty much eat it for every special occasion.
And my last Instagram of the night, birthday presents! (Not including my phone which was taking said picture)
So Instagram might not seem that exciting for the rest of the world anymore, but I love it! Happy Friday!

I absolutely love these modern and artsy holiday cards from the Miss Modern Design Shop! You can download these templates right to your computer.
This is a really cool take on the traditional family newsletter. You can find it at Minted.
I love the typography and photo combination! These cards from Design Aglow are an instant download and include matching address labels. How cute and coordinated is that?

It’s November. It seems like each month goes by faster than the last! But I’m excited for this month. There are a lot of things I’m looking forward to: my birthday, cold fronts, seeing family for Thanksgiving, Black Friday shopping. But before any of that, it’s time for some goal setting. Here are my goals for November:
- Finish client packet. There’s always that one goal that holds on from the month before and this is it. I need to finish it!
- Organize Lightroom catalog. I have thousands of photos in Lightroom and I need to go through and do some major organizing.
- Exercise regularly. I really need to be more active! I just have to find some motivation.
- Catch up on laundry. This goal sounds lame but I can never seem to catch up on laundry. As soon as I do a load, the dirty clothes just multiply by 100. Not exaggerating. Okay, maybe a little.
What are you looking forward to this month?
